On Valentines Day, is it hearts and roses for the North East Economy?

On Valentines Day, and the even of the North East Independent Economic Review, what does the future hold for the North East Economy?  Is it hearts and roses over the next 10 years? Well tomorrow is the North East Local Enterprise Partnership, present a summary of 45 expert sector specific submissions to a 200 packed audience at the Baltic.   Lord Adonis and his expert panel will highlight what we see as the top priorities over the next 10 years.  

Ideas for Change will be attending tomorrows conference to hear directly from the expert panel.  It has been a real pleasure to have submitted both the Enterprise and Private Sector Growth and Investor Readiness support paper on behalf of the North East Enterprise Agencies Ltd.  Our suggestions included  encouraging local firms to expand in new domestic markets outside the North East, using their links and social media networks to find new customers.  It will be very interesting to hear what has to be said about the economies prospects for the future.  For anyone who is interested in viewing the full evidence submissions, here is the link http://www.nelep.co.uk/ne-economic-review/evidence
